SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) – Church Village, Pontypridd

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? An established specialist provider in Church Village, Pontypridd, is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dynamic educational team. Key Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise learners with PMLD, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
• Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
• Help prepare classrooms for lessons and activities
• Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support
• Support the delivery of lessons alongside the class teacher
• Assist learners during break times and lunch periods
• Engage learners in classroom and outdoor activities
• Follow the school’s behaviour management policies to promote positive behaviour

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; SEN experience is advantageous
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC); support available for registration
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs and a commitment to inclusive education
