Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Caerphilly, South Wales

Pay: £16.00 to £20.00 per hour (Weekly Pay plus Holiday Pay)

When a vulnerable young person experiences sudden change, transitioning into a residential setting can feel overwhelming. They need more than someone just filling a shift; they need a dedicated, dependable professional to provide safety, routine, and respect.

Randstad Care is expanding its dedicated team across Caerphilly and the wider South Wales region. We are looking for proactive support workers to assist children and young adults facing complex social, emotional, and mental health needs within specialised residential care environments.

We welcome applicants from various care and education backgrounds, including Care Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Key Workers, Youth Workers, Crisis Support Staff, and Childcare Practitioners.

How You'll Create Impact

• Encourage Co-Regulation: Build a structured, comforting daily routine to help young people feel secure.
• De-escalate Challenges: Confidently manage and diffuse complex situations using positive behaviour management techniques.
• Maintain Standards: Keep accurate daily logs to meet high safeguarding requirements and support wider multi-agency teams.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Relevant Experience: At least 6 months of verifiable UK experience in a children's residential or youth care environment.
• Core Competencies: High emotional resilience, strong professional boundaries, and a solid understanding of trauma-informed practice.
• Transport: A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle to reach regional sites comfortably.
